Say Fast 12 Times: British Switch Hitters
With Siouxsie Sioux recovered from her throat problems (Fax ‘n’ Rumours, TP 78), Siouxsie and the Banshees scheduled a British tour last November to promote their new album, "A Kiss in the Dreamhouse." The snag this time was guitarist John McGeoch, who collapsed from nervous exhaustion one week before the tour was to begin.
Clearly, this looked like a job for Robert Smith. Better known as leader of the Cure, Smith played with the Banshees in 1979, when McGeoch’s predecessor John McKay suddenly walked out. Smith is again taking the Banshees, while McGeoch takes the cure (not the Cure).
