Horror At Cure Show
A lovelorn fan of top British band The Cure was recovering last night after making a bizarre and bloody suicide bid at one of their concerts... while other fans cheered him on.
Jonathan Moreland, wearing a cowboy hat and boots, stripped off his shirt and leaped on to a chair where he showed off his wounds to the cheering crowd and continued to plunge the blade into his tattooed chest.
Eventually he was hauled off to the hospital. Police found a note in his car in which he said he was killing himself because of his hopeless love for a girl called Andrea.
The Cure - whose songs tend to be most depressing - refused to comment on the incident.
